People, have you ever thought of HOW YOU MAY LOOK APPROACHABLE?
How How How?
Open up Instead of folding your arms and hunching over, you may want to try angling yourself toward others, standing with an upright (not stiff) posture and uncrossing your arms, make your body display an open body language and others will approach you eventually.
Use your eyes Eye contact is important. You see with your eyes and others see you through theirs. So stop burying your head in a book, staring at the floor or looking up at the ceiling, rather you may want to try scanning your environment with your eyes and not be afraid to make eye contacts with the others.
Smile Smile can be the simplest yet the most complex. A warm, inviting smile can put anyone at ease, which makes people want to be around you and get in on the fun. During small talk, if somehow you catch someone's eye, be sure to give a little smile, this will let people know you appreciate talking to them. The hardest part is always smiling with your eyes. Not stare or glare. Instead, smiling with your eyes is just softening your eye expression, making your eyes "twinkle" to show that you're friendly and interested in talking to the others. Approach others If people aren't approaching you, why not go to them? It all depends on your social skills. There will always be situation where you don't know anyone, so yea just try not to be nervous, take a deep breathe and approach others with a friendly smile and you will be able to break the ice between you and the others.
